Anna Cavallaro

Anna Cavallaro, is an Italian champion vaulter. Living in Verona, Anna began gymnastics at the age of 4, but at the age of 11 stumbled into the world of equine vaulting and has not looked back. She trains with Nelson Vidoni, and it was Nelson who purchased Annas horse, Harley, from the Czech Republic in 2005.
Together Anna, Nelson and Harley have won numerous accolades, she has won 10 Italian Vaulting Championship titles in a row and most notably Silver at the 2014 World Equestrian Games at Normandy. Early 2014 also saw Anna retain her Individual World Champion Title for the second successive year when competing in the Championships at Bordeaux.
In 2016, Anna introduced the world to her new horse, 11-year-old, Monaco Franze 4, although she still keeps Harley and uses him for training events. At the FEI World Cup™ Vaulting in Dortmund in early 2016, Anna put on a thrilling display to fended off tough competition from Germany’s Kristina Boe to take her third FEI World Cup Vaulting title. Cavallaro, competing in her seventh World Cup Final, débuted a brand new freestyle theme. Her wolf interpretation impressed the judges to score 8.662, allowing her to take the lead over Boe (8,418).
