Stefano Brecciaroli

Stefano Brecciaroli was born in 1974 in Campagnano, in the province of Rome. He started showjumping with Colonel Piero D’Inzeo and from there decided to training with Adriano Capuzzo in the discipline of three day eventing. At the age of 17 Stefano joined the Carabinieri and his career took off, with two gold medals in the European Junior Championships and a bronze medal in the European Young Rider Championships.
In 2004 Stefano competed in his first Olympics in Athens on Cappa Hill. He was also part of the Italian Olympic team that competed in the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games, again riding CappaHill.
2009 saw him claim team silver medal in the European Championships in Fontainebleau, whilst in 2011 Stefano finished second in Aachen. All of which helped gain a place in the 2012 London Olympic Games.
In 2013 Stefano finished first in the Burnham Market CIC*** with Apollo VD Wendi Kurt Hoeve, first with Music Master in Montelibretti CIC** and a very impressive 6th at the Badminton Horse Trails again with Apollo VD Wendi Kurt Hoeve.
In 2016 Stefano was the anchorman on the Italian Eventing team competing in the Summer Olympics at Rio, this was his fourth debut for Italy at the Olympics.
