Barbara Schnieper

Barbara Schnieper (born February 22, 1982) has been internationally recognized in 2018 for her brilliant performances at the Dublin Horse Show and the prestigious Spruce Meadows CSIO in Calgary. In October 2018, she contributed to the 8th place of the Swiss team in the final of the Nations Cup of Barcelona with her leading horse Cicero F.

The professional rider from Seewen (Canton Solothurn) and her husband Urs Wiggli run the “vom Eigen” farm of her father-in-law Josef Wiggli.

As well as competing at the highest level, The Vom Eigen Team are leaders in the breeding and production of sport horses breeding, the name is associated with many successes.

Barbara takes care of the young horses and those at work. Mom of a little girl, she is recognized as a very diligent rider; when she is not in competition, she works seven to eight horses a day. Every year, during the Swiss championship of CH sport horses which takes place in Avenches, she presents in a single weekend over 24 horses. She has also built a solid reputation in Switzerland for her teaching skills. In Switzerland, Barbara has also earned a good reputation as a trainer.
