Cian O’ Connor

The name Cian O’ Connor is synonymous with Irish Showjumping. Cian started riding for Ireland in 1999 and since then has been a member of over 94 senior Irish Nation’s Cup teams, has won numerous Grand Prix and competed in two World Championships, three European Championships and two Olympic Games. The highlight of his career to date has been in claiming individual bronze at the London Olympic ‘s 2012.
From his base at Karlswood Stables in Co Meath, Cian on top of producing top class horses he is a coach, horse producer and consultant. Cian divides his time between competing nationally and internationally, buying and selling top quality horses, coaching and taking care of all the general logistics that go with running a business – or as he says himself “a travelling circus!” Cian continues to be a global ambassador for Irish Showjumping and breeding with the sale of horses internationally such as Blue Lloyd. Cian is currently ranked in the top 50 of the FEI World Rankings and horses such as Cooper and Carolus Z.
